About a couple of months ago, when I heard that the Brunei PSR 2020 results were released, I tried to keep my expectations low as I knew that my son did not have a very good academic foundation from Years 1 to 3 (I mistakenly sent him to a private school that had extra-curricular activities as its core – literally, school parties and events were the order of the day – hardly any school work got done, books were not even finished halfway by the end of the year. I still have these unused books as evidence).

He did work very hard for the PSR exam and I am so happy that he managed to get considerably very good results (3As, 2Bs). His journey from a school that did not focus on academics to one that did (Year 4 to 6), provided some very good lessons for me, but this should be a topic for another post.

One of the tools that helped him a lot with PSR revisions was Quizlet. While PSR is over for him, I reckon that the Quizlet Study Sets I’ve created may be of some benefit to those taking the exam this year. These sets can also be used for introducing new lessons or simply reinforcing lessons (so useful even for those who are in different year levels).

As you may already know, Quizlet has a variety of study modes such as Flashcards, Match (a fun game) and Spell, among others, which I think is fun! Another good thing is that students can immediately see their progress. This is certainly a great motivator!
